Monsters don't really exist, at least, that's what Jack thought...

After inadvertently knocking out an ogre, young Jack finds himself thrust into the secretive world of monster hunters. With the help of his new friends Stoop and Nancy, as well as a magical copy of Monster Hunting for Beginners, will Jack be able to save the village of King's Nooze from being invaded by ogres?

As well as ogres, there are a lot of other monsters in this story that you'll enjoy finding out about, including Zomblings, Anticores, and the Crusted Hairy Snot-Nibblers!

There's also plenty of humour in Jack's quest too, such as when he learns that monster hunters can only use a Reasonable Amount of Force to deal with monsters rather than killing them.

The talented Louis Ghibault has clearly had a lot of fun with the illustrations in this story as well, such as the fists of an ogre grabbing two helpless King's Nooze villagers.

If you've read the How to Train Your Dragon books, you'll enjoy this story, the first in a brand new series!

Overall, this is a fun monster-sized romp, filled with adventure and humour, and a perfect choice if you fancy yourself as a monster hunter as well.
